Mandalas for Mindfulness -

Group Workshops

Schedule a session of creative wellness for your organization or team. Available in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area.

In a Mandalas for Mindfulness workshop, your group will receive:

  • hands-on activities that progressively build skills and confidence;

  • full-color worksheets and take-home resources;

  • live demonstrations and a fully-illustrated presentation;

  • an affirming, stress-reducing environment; and

  • access to all the tools necessary to create their own unique mandala designs.

Throughout the session, we’ll be guided by principles of mindfulness, being present in the moment and developing a mindset of growth and self-awareness. We’ll reflect and redirect as needed to ensure your session is positive, affirming and satisfying.

The 3-hour session flows through an intentional, progressive process:

  • We’ll use short, simple lines to finish a partially-completed design, allowing participants to experience the feel and flow of building a mandala. We’ll discover how easy-to-draw lines can create complex patterns and how basic design choices yield a surprising variety of results.

  • We’ll begin with a blank grid and draw a full mandala design, step by step and piece by piece. We’ll explore design options and opportunities, and share easy ways to embellish simple shapes for more design impact.

  • We’ll work through the technical steps of building a mandala grid from the ground up, using quick & easy methods for drawing an 8-wedge grid and a 12-wedge grid.

  • We’ll move through the process of developing your own mandala design, from the first line choice all the way through to a completed work of art. We’ll consider sources of inspiration that honor aspects of your identity; discuss the impact of color, pattern and line choices; and share ways to incorporate mandala drawing in your life as a creative wellness practice.
